UNWLA # 108 will be baking kolaci (Christmas braided bread ) for sale this year on Saturday, December 18. To pre-order please call (203) 934-6520. They will be available for pick up along with your pyrohy order from 11AM to 2PM. Kutia will also be available at both the Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 12th and on Dec. 18th.

After each Divine Liturgy, coffee and hard rolls are available in the church hall.

We invite you to our Christmas Bazaar, which will take place on Sunday, December 12 at 12:00 noon. At our fair you will be able to taste delicious Ukrainian dishes and spend time with friends over a cup of coffee with a variety of sweets. You could also purchase unique handmade Christmas gifts for your family and friends. Our fair will sell such goods as necklaces, Christmas ornaments, jewelry, leather bags hand-painted by a Ukrainian artist, children`s goods, handmade soap and candles, and much more. We invite sellers to cooperate with pre-registration (free of charge, just make a voluntary donation to our church) by phone 347-523-1226.

We are going to make stuff cabbage (holubtsi) for Christmas. Please place you order by calling the rectory at 203-865-0388 before December 8.

St. Michael’s Day will be celebrated on November 7th. On this day we will have only one (1) Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. After the Divine Liturgy, we will have a dinner and short program. All parishioners are cordially invited to this celebration. Tickets are available through Luba Dubno (203) 469-2589, Margaret Maybury (203) 804-7557, Svitlana Nakonechnyj (203) 909-2994 until November 2. Tickets are $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth between 14 and 18. Free for students Ridna Shkola, altar boys and for children under 12. We will be running a raffle. If you would like to donate any items to be raffled, please bring them to our church hall on Sundays before our Feast Day. Also we ask for donations for dessert. We will not sell tickets at the door.

Olga (Dubno) Pospolita fell asleep in the Lord

We are sad to announce the falling asleep in the Lord of Olga (Dubno) Pospolita, 90.

The visitation is being held at Celentano Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Friday, October 29, 2021. The Funeral Lituygy is Saturday at the parish at 10:00 a.m.

In your charity, please offer a prayer for Olga’s peaceful repose, and for the those who mourn her.

May Olga’s memory be eternal.

Divine Liturgy canceled for August 22

Owing to the high winds, heavy rain, and potential flooding anticipated during the hurricane Henri’s arrival tomorrow, the 10:00 a.m. has been canceled. This decision has been made out of consideration for the safety for the traveling priest as well as many of those coming from a distance to attend the Divine Liturgy.
