Safe Environments –Protecting God’s Children

Safe Environment: Policies and Procedures

All clergy, seminarians, religious sisters and brothers, employees, teachers, staff, and volunteers are now required to have an extensive background check if they work with minors under the age of eighteen. In addition, a safe environment training program must be provided to all employees, parents, and children from elementary grades through high school.

The Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Stamford and St. Michael the Archangel Church are committed to protecting children and young people and stands ready to extend pastoral assistance to any who may have been victims of abuse that have not come forward. If you or anyone you know has experienced abuse, now or in the past, please contact us so that we can facilitate the healing process.

If you have knowledge of or have reasonable cause to suspect abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or any allegation of abuse or misconduct involving a member of the Clergy, seminarian, religious sister or brother, lay employee, volunteer  (whether the incident occurred recently or in the past) report that information immediately.

  • To ask a question or to express a concern or to report abuse contact Subdeacon Paul A. Zalonski at 847-778-4742.
  • Inquiries, questions or concerns for the Eparchy should be directed to (203) 249-9690.
