Presanctified Liturgy during Lent

The Fridays in Great Lent we will have the Presanctified Liturgy at 7:00 p.m. Some will call this liturgical service the Liturgy of Pope Saint Gregory the Great.

The Presanctified Liturgy is a traditional Lenten service combining Vespers (evening prayer) and the reception of Holy Communion that was consecrated at a previous Divine Liturgy. The psalms and the hymns related to a saint’s day or the coming Sunday in Lent.
