Bishop Paul celebrates his birth
Today (May 19th), our Bishop Paul Chomnycky, OSBM, the Eparch of Stamford, celebrates his birthday.
Bishop was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He entered the novitiate of the Order of St. Basil the Great, the Basilian Monastery in Glen Cove, New York, in November 1982 and professed final vows in Rome on January 1, 1988, ordained to the priesthood on October 1, 1988. He was appointed Exarch for Ukrainian Catholics in Great Britain on April 5, 2002 and ordained bishop on June 11, 2002 by His Beatitude, Lubomyr Cardinal Husar and installed as fourth Eparch of Stamford, February 20, 2006.

Today, Sunday 26 April 2020, history marks 34 years since the world’s worst nuclear disaster – Chornobyl.
Let us commemorate the victims and honor their memory with prayer.

Yevshan Ensemble in New Haven
A light on a dreary January Saturday is the very beautiful performance of the Yevshan Ukrainian Vocal Ensemble @KofCMuseum.
The selection of music was taken from Christmas. If you weren’t here you missed something great! A good 75 people enjoyed a bit of culture. Even Bishop Paul showed up!

National Symphony of Ukraine in CT
The National Symphony of Ukraine will be touring the USA. Volodymyr Sirenko is the conductor and performing at UCONN’s Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, November 22 at 7 p.m.
The NSU was founded in 1949.
Pre-concert lecture ( included in the ticket price) by Dr Glenn Stanley at 6:15 p.m.
