Jesus Christ is among us!

This week vigil light is offered by Vasyl Ivantsiv in memory of +Vasyl.

We will be making pyrohy/varenyky for regular orders on November 19. We need your help on Friday to peel potatoes and Saturday to make pierogis. Please come and help.

DEAR PARISHIONERS, if you would like to have a Confession, Holy Communion or prayer of the sick at your house or nursing home, please call the rectory at 203-865-0388.

St. Michael’s Day will be celebrated on November 6th. On this day we will have only one (1) bi-lingual Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. After the Divine Liturgy, we will have a dinner and short cultural program. All parishioners are cordially invited to this celebration. Tickets are available through Miss Luba Dubno and Svitlana Nakonecha. Tickets are $30.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth between 14and 18. Free for students Ridna Shkola, altar boys and for children under 12 . We will be running a raffle. If you would like to donate any items to be raffled, please bring them to our church hall on Sundays before our Feast Day. Also we ask donations for dessert. Last day to buy tickets November 1. We will not sell tickets at the door.

Children aged 8-12 will be accepted to the School. The nursery school has 3 groups as follows: ages 2-3 years of age – the youngest group; ages 3-5 years of age –the middle group; ages 5-6 years of age –preschool/oldest group. This year we plan to offer Ukrainian dance instruction under the director of Mr. Orlando Pagan for children 7 years and older. Details to follow. CHARITIES APPEAL: Please don’t forget to make a donation to the Eparchy’s Charity Appeal. Please make check payable to the Byzantine Rite Eparchy of Stamford. DO NOT MAIL THIS FORM OR CHECK TO THE CHANCERY OFFICE BUT TURN IT IN AT THE PARISH. We sincerely ask all parishioners to make a generous contribution.

KIDS HELPING UKRAINE STICKERS: Our New Haven Ridna Shkola is doing a Fundraiser called, KIDS HELPING UKRAINE. The stickers (two styles) are $1.00 per sticker and if you can contribute more it will be appreciated. All donations will go to provide medical supplies and care for those wounded in this terrible war started by Russia. If you any questions contact Halia Lodynsky 203-494-6278 or Volodymyr Dumalskyy.

ST. MICHAEL’S UKRAINIAN SCHOOL TO REOPENED IN SEPTEMBER: The Ukrainian School of New Haven has reopened for the new school year 2022-2023 on September 23rd. If you have any questions for students of Elementary School please contact The School Director Halia Lodynsky at 203-494-6278. For students, Middle School call Volodymyr Dumalskyy at 203-988-2923. A nursery school program for children 2-5 years old is also part of the curriculum. Instruction will be primarily in Ukrainian language with accommodations for English. ST. MICHAEL’S HERITAGE CENTER GIFT SHOP is open for business. We are in the process of revitalizing and restocking our Gift shop as part of our overall effort to generate needed funds. Any Parishioner who has surplus Ukrainian items in their possession that they would like to donate or place on consignment with the shop, please drop them off at the Gift Shop which is open and accessible during Suma Credit Union hours.
